My view on: holidays in my family and Uruguay

We say ''felices fiestas'' which means ''happy holidays'' (''fiesta'' mainly means ''party'')
which engloves whatever you are celebrating, religious or not
or ''felices vacaciones'' literaly ''happy vacacions'' refering from december to march
and whatever you do inbetween, celebration or not.

My familly and me celebrate christmas, new year and the ''Epiphany'' or ''Three Wise Men''(???
Its a really common thing in Latino America and i dont know the actual name in english.
All the holidays related things sounds really awkward to me in english,
more religious than it sounds in spanish,
even knowing the roots of the celebrations i celebrate are all catholic.

My family:
-The 8 of December we install the fairy lights and tree with ornaments.
-In christmas we give eachother presents at night and have dinner all together.
-In new year we have dinner, toast and watch the fireworks.
-In the 6 of january we leave eachother presents in the night, to open in the morning.
So we do celebrate in catholic days but dont do anything particulary religious,
aside from the obvious.

Almost all the people i know celebrate the same way,
eat a lot, share time with people, give presents and have fun.

The population of my country is mainly atheist or catholic
(there are a lot of other religions and celebrations, but with less people),
so the holidays have a heavy weight because of the catholic people
that celebrate the holidays and the families that had catholic people in them,
it had become a part of us to celebrate, even when we dont share the faith
or understanding of the world, sharing time with the people you love
is something we have in common.

I did this: Easy strawberry tart

I made a strawberry tart after searching for a recipe that didnt make me have to get weird or not so common ingredients that you dont regulary have in your kitchen, like dragon eggs and troll teeth.
I dont know who tags a recipe as ''easy'' if it has 37 ingredients and takes you 4 hours to make.

Recipes like that make me wonder if im actually going to make 
something to eat or waking someone from the dead.
After searching for a regular recipe i found one that wasnt suspiciously difficult,
only had a few ingredients and was easy to make.

This is how i made it:
-One ''frolla'' Avanti crust
-4 tablespoons of organic sugar for the filling
and 1 tablespoon to sprinkle on top
-4 tablespoons of cornstarch
-1 and 1/4 cup of washed strawberries
chopped in small pieces

All the photos (excluding the one above) are bigger,

After placing the crust in the baking pan i filled it with the strawberry mixture,
bended the edges of the pie over and sprinkled sugar of top.

Cut the paper of the crust and put the baking pan in the oven, 
it was preheated for 15 minutes at 160°c 
(i would had burned it if i had cooked it how it says in the recipe).
I cooked it for an hour at the same heat, until the crust was golden brow on top,
the folded crust was cooked and the strawberries were dry.
After it was cold we ate it with vanilla ice cream.
Its sweet and a little bit sour, so when its hot it tastes weird,
let it cool and it will taste great.
